October is almost finished and before we know it, Christmas will be here. I have already spotted Christmas decorations in store. I swear stores keep putting these out earlier and earlier in the year! If you have come from my old blog “Your Daily Break”, welcome back and to any new readers out there, thanks for stopping by! I thought that my October Favourites would be the best post to start with so let’s get on with it!
Muji – Cosmetics Bag
I recently went overseas and brought along my Muji Cosmetic Bag. To me, it’s the best cosmetic bag that I’ve come across. There are so many compartments which helps keep all of my products in order. My favourite feature of the bag is that there’s also a brush compartment! For a bag that looks small, it can certainly hold a decent amount of products. During my two week trip I was able to fit all the makeup and brushes that I needed, and I still had room for a few new products. Let’s face it, we all need extra room for new purchases when we go on a holiday!
The Balm – Hot Mama blush
My next favourite is The Balm Hot Mama Blush. It is the perfect ‘pick me up’ shade. It’s a coral blush with golden shimmer that adds life to the face. I never apply this blush with a highlighter since it is already shimmery. The shimmer is very fine so it adds sheen rather than the dreaded glitter particles that we want to avoid. Something else that I love about this blush is that it stays on my cheeks all day.
Rimmel – Scandaleyes Eyeliner in 004 Taupe
I have written about my love for the Rimmel Scandal on my old blog but this deserves another mention. I love this eyeliner for daytime wear when I want something more subtle than a black or even a brown. This does wonders for making my small eyes appear larger and more importantly, more awake! The formula is pigmented, long-lasting, quick to apply glides on smoothly and evenly.
L’Oreal – Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation in G4
I came across this foundation when I was overseas in Malaysia. I personally haven’t seen it in stores here in Australia nor have I heard anything about it. I bought this foundation purely because it was very yellow-based. I have a yellow undertone to my skin so I have absolutely loved mixing any foundation that I have with this L’Oreal one. It provides an extra dose of ‘yellow-ness’ that make my foundations match just that bit better. This foundation also adds a pretty glow to the skin which I love, particularly during spring and summer.
Oscar Blandi – Dry Shampoo
I have recently been gravitating towards my powder dry shampoos rather than my aerosols dry shampoos. To save time in the morning, I use this product before I go to bed and let it work it’s magic into my hair overnight. I find that I don’t need to use any other products in the morning to get rid of the greasy hair, which is perfect when you’re in a rush! The powder is very fine and the nozzle disperses the right amount of product each and every time.
