I hope you all had a wonderful February. For me, February was all about getting into the swing of things at work after a long holiday break! My February favourites is a mix of beauty and skincare this month!
Trilogy – Hydrating Mist Toner
Priceline had a huge 40% off skincare sale about 4 weeks ago. If you follow us on instagram (Follow us on instagram here!) you would have seen the haul photo that I posted. This product was something that I picked up during the sale and I have been using ever it since. It’s a lovely hydrating toner with a rose scent that I use in the morning after cleansing. I spritz around 3 sprays over my face and let it soak in. I also use it as a refresher during the day if I need to. What I love most about this product though is the mist. Unlike many other mist products I’ve used in the past, this mist is fine and disperses evenly over your face.
Jacqueline Evans – Castille Cream Cleanser
This product was given to me by two of my friends for my birthday. I had never heard about this brand until they introduced me to it. It’s an Australian owned and made brand that avoids the nasties (e.g., parabens, SLS etc.) in their products. I apply this cream cleanser to my dry skin and wash it off with a warm face towel. It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated. I do not get any tight skin sensations when using this cleanser which is something that I look for in my products, and it can remove my makeup as well. I would recommend this cream cleanser for all skin types.
Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Blush Palette
This was definitely a splurge item for me. I actually purchased it before Christmas and wrapped it up and placed it under the tree as a present from me to me haha. I adore this palette. I love all shades and couldn’t pick a favourite. Sometimes, I mix the first two colours together. They apply and blend like a dream, are long lasting and leave a pretty subtle glow on your cheeks. I haven’t put this product down all month!
Benefit Cosmetics – Gimme Brow
I’m lucky in that I have dark brows however, they do need a little help at the tail of the brow. I purchased this for the first time in October last year and I have to say that I was skeptical of this product at first. I found the formula too wet and hard to control the right amount of product in the right places. I honestly didn’t understand what the hype was about. Now it is a whole different story! I use this product on a daily basis. I’ve found that the trick is to wipe off the excess product before you use it and letting it dry out a little first (just like you might do to a mascara). I like how small the wand is, which makes it easier to control when applying. I concentrate it on the tail of my brow and it gives it enough definition that I never bother with a powder anymore.
This Works – Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
This product is filled with essential oils like lavender and chamomile that you spray onto your pillow about half an hour before you sleep. It is supposed to help you relax so that you get a good nights sleep. I tend to forget to use it half an hour before I sleep, but it works just the same in my opinion. I’m not sure what magical things are in this product but every time I use it I wake up the next morning feeling well rested and refreshed. It’s quickly becoming one of my favourite products of all time!
That concludes my favourites for this month! What were your favourites during the month of February?
