Moonshot Cream Paint Review

P1480255-4

Hi Everyone,

Today’s post is a Moonshot Cream Paint review, which featured in my Sephora Haul here. It’s a Korean brand and I had personally not heard of Moonshot Cosmetics until my trip to Malaysia. I was tossing up between this and the Color Moonwalk Perfection Dark Spot Concealer but settled for the Cream Paint since I don’t have anything like it in my makeup collection. It is a multi-use product that is designed to be used all over the face including the eyes, lips and cheeks. I chose the Moonshot Cream Paint in 103 Strawberry Gelato which is a pinky coral shade that gives a matte finish to the lips/cheeks.

The Strawberry Gelato shade is extremely pigmented and you only need a small amount – a little goes a long way here! The consistency of this product is thick and slightly tacky; however, it is surprisingly easy to blend into your cheeks. I have been using my fingers and a brush, and both methods result in the product blending seamlessly. Once it’s blended it dries into a slightly powdery texture.

As a lip product, it initially feels extremely silky on your lips; however it does collect in the dry patches. With this colour the dry patches are not very noticeable, but I’m not sure about the deeper shades of this product. I am personally not a fan of the dry feeling that matte lip products can give so I have been applying a gloss over the top to get rid of it and that has worked well. I would recommend exfoliating and moisturising your lips first to get a smooth application.

The product holds up well throughout the day and my blush is still noticeable at the end of the day even if I do not set it. As a lip product it will give a nice stain as it wears away but reapplication throughout the day would be necessary with this shade. The packaging of this product is sleek and simple and it comes with an extra wide doe foot applicator that I use to dot on my hand before applying it to my lips/cheeks.

Overall, the Moonshot Cream Paint is a great multi-use product. It’s long lasting, easy to blend and the colour Strawberry Gelato is perfect for the spring/summer months. My only recommendation would be to exfoliate and moisturise your lips before applying it. I am impressed with the Moonshot Cream Paint in Strawberry Gelato and would purchase another shade. I’m also interested in trying their concealer now! Have any of you tried anything from Moonshot Cosmetics before?
