October Favourites 2015

Hi Everyone,

It’s October favourites time today. I hope you all had a great October. I can’t believe it’s been a month since our Malaysia trip! As it heads towards the end of the year I always feel like the months go by quicker. I have a mix of makeup, skincare and accessories this month so I’m not going to ramble anymore and will get straight to it!

The Balm Nude Dude Eyeshadow Palette – This eyeshadow palette is the newest to my collection and is a follow-up to their Nude ‘tude Eyeshadow Palette. I have been using this almost daily. It’s overtaken my Nude ‘tude palette. I find the Nude ‘tude more of a night time palette whereas the Nude Dude palette shades are lighter overall so it’s easier to wear during the day. I don’t own any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes but it does remind me of the Naked 3 palette. The shadows are soft but the pigmentation is good and they are easy to blend. I plan to compare the two palettes on the blog soon.

Moonshot Cream Paint – I recently reviewed this product here. In short, it’s a cream product that can be applied to your lips and cheeks. It’s sticky on application but dries to the touch. It’s easy to blend and lasts all day. I have the colour 103 Strawberry Gelato and it’s perfect for this time of year. I also love the colour it leaves on the lips and when you use the product for the lips and cheeks your look just looks seamless.

My skin is finally under control after my holiday (you can read about my skin woes here), and I largely credit my Oxy Anti-Pimple Mark and Aesop Parsley Seed Masque for this. The Oxy Pimple Gel has sped up the process of lightening my hyper pigmentation after any spots and the Aesop masque has been great for drawing out the impurities and keeping my skin under control.

Delicate Necklaces from Forever21– I am currently having a thing for delicate necklaces and I’m picking them over my statement necklaces. They are perfect for layering and I love mixing and matching my necklaces to make different combinations. I have been wearing this triangle necklace and bar necklace from Forever21. They match everything and I love how simple they are. If you are after some delicate necklaces, Forever21 have some great affordable necklaces availble.

Kate Spade Lola Avenue Lia  – If you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that I love my black and gold bag which I purchased from an Op Shop (see here). It’s featured in most of my outfit posts but move over bag, there’s a new bag that may have just taken your number one spot! It’s my Kate Spade Lola Avenue Lia bag in the colour Ioden, which is khaki. I love wearing neutral colours so this bag has been perfect to add a “pop” of colour to my outfit. I love the gold hardware and it’s spacious inside. I was choosing between the khaki, navy and tan when I first purchased it but I’m so glad I went with the khaki. It’s something different but it’s still surprisingly easy to match. I featured it in my recent outfit post here.

What is on your list of October favourites?

    1. Yes, Aesop are amazing. I absolutely love their Parsley Seed range. There are a few other things I have my eye on, but I’m determined to finish a few more products first to justify the purchase! Thank you for reading x
