The Long Weekend and My Favourite Beach

Hi Everyone!

Firstly, thank you to anyone who checked out our first vlog. It was quite daunting uploading it and it was a lot of work editing it – props to the daily vloggers out there, seriously. The first day was mostly travel since it takes 7-8 hours to fly from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur (Australia is so far from other countries!) but the remaining vlogs that will be uploaded on Sundays and Wednesdays will include lots of different sites including the waterfront in Kuching, orang-utans and a bird park. If you love food there will also be so much food in our vlogs. Our trip basically revolved around food! If you would like to subscribe and check out our vlogs please click here.

It was a public holiday today for Melbourne so Andrew and I took the opportunity this long weekend to go to Adelaide, which is my home town. The vibe in Adelaide is different to Melbourne. It’s a lot more relaxed and carefree which is what I love about it. The weather is also better – 21 degrees in Melbourne feels a lot colder than 21 degrees in Adelaide. I love that everything is relatively close by. From my house it is approximately 5 minutes to the airport, 10 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to the city. One of my favourite things to do when I was growing up, especially when I was a teenager, was to hang out at the beach. My favourite beach has always been Henley Beach. That’s another thing that Adelaide has on Melbourne – the beaches! Whenever I go back to Adelaide I also make a point to visit it. Mind you, I’m a lot more conscious of the sun and will always slap on my sunscreen when I go – unlike my teenage years *tsk *tsk to me.

During this trip we went in the evening before dinner with some friends. It was a little windy but the water was still warm and I couldn’t resist walking in the ocean for awhile. My outfit details are at the end of this post.

Do you guys love the beach? Which beach do you like going to?
