Firstly, I hope you all had an amazing holiday season! I have eaten way too much food, but it’s been fun catching up with family and friends. I can’t believe 2016 is only around the corner! I’m wishing you and your family a happy and healthy 2016 🙂
Today’s post is all about my 2015 Beauty Favourites!
There are 4 makeup products that I used almost every time I have put my makeup on. The first product is the RMK Gel Creamy Foundation (review here) which gives the most perfect light-medium buildable coverage. It’s not heavy on the skin, blends easily and is lasts throughout the day if you set it with powder. Speaking of powders, my Hourglass Diffused Light Powder is what I used to set my makeup 90% of the time.
For blush, I have absolutely loved my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. I remember um-ing and ah-ing over it at the time but I am so glad I purchased it. I use the middle shade mostly during spring/summer and a combination of the first and third shades during autumn/winter. To cover up my dark circles, I always relied on my Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach. It was a toss-up between this product and the Tarte corrector but I’ve definitely used this one more.
The next two products go hand in hand. I absolutely love my Heroine Make Volume and Curl and Heroine Make Volume and Length mascaras, and have done so for the last few years. They separate your lashes, define them while giving them extra length and volume, but the best thing about this mascara is that they hold a curl like no other. The only thing is that they are extremely waterproof to the point that no waterproof eye makeup remover has been successful at removing all the product off for me. That’s when the Heroine Make Mascara Remover comes in. You apply it to your lashes, let it sit and then wipe the product away. It helps to break down the mascara making it easy to remove (review here). I’m so glad I found this product!
My masks of choice have been the Aesop Parsley Seed Masque when my skin is feeling congested, and the Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask when my skin is feeling dull and lacklustre. For exfoliating, I can’t go past my Alpha-H Liquid Gold which is basically good skin in a bottle. I have amped up the amount of times I use this and now use it 2-3 times per week and have definitely noticed a difference. To help keep my skin clear I have used my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo all year and notice a difference when I don’t use this product consistently. The Nuxe Reve de Miel was my lip balm of choice and is amazing if you suffer from dry lips. Lastly, the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray was what I used when I wanted a good night’s sleep. It helps to relax and calm you and I just overall felt more well-rested when using it.
What was your favourite product this year?
