Don’t you love it when you use up products while you’re travelling so you don’t have to cart them back home? I used up quite a few travel sized produced in Japan so I thought I would round up my product empties today and give you my two cents.
RMK UV Face Protector – If you’re a regular reader to my blog you will know how much I love this sunscreen. It feels like you’re applying a moisturiser on the skin and although it is not dry to the touch it sinks in and sits well under makeup. It’s my go-to sunscreen and I already have another one on the go at the moment. Highly recommend it.
RMK Cleansing Oil – This cleansing oil does a great job at removing my base makeup. I use it like any other cleansing oil and apply it to a dry face, working it in circular motions and then emulsifying it with a touch of water. It leaves my skin feel soft yet cleansed, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. The downside to this product is that it absolutely stings if it gets in my eyes. It also has a tough time removing my waterproof mascaras. For those reasons, I will not be repurchasing this product.
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil – This was a lifesaver when I was in Japan. My skin completely changed when I was there and my usually normal/oily skin became dry and dehydrated. I had dry patches where I didn’t think I would ever have dry patches. My body started to go scaly despite using my usual moisturisers. I turned to this to help hydrate my skin and while it didn’t work miracles and I still had to slather moisturiser on, it definitely helped the situation. I love this product and would (and have previously) repurchased.
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser – This was given to me by a friend who is studying to be a dermatologist. The product was a cross between a gel and cream. It didn’t really work up into a lather but did a decent job at cleansing my face – nothing to harp on about though. It was great when my skin felt sensitive and when I felt like I wanted something non-irritating. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to look into it but for me, I think that there are better cleansers out there.
Band-Aid ?Blister Cushions – I *think* these are the blister cushions based on their website but I can’t be sure because the packaging looks different! I purchased these when I got blisters from walking around all day in Japan. They helped cushion the pain and I didn’t have any problem with them falling off. I also noticed that they helped heal my blisters faster as well. They weren’t the cheapest option out there but definitely worth it.
L’Occitane Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream – L’Occitane hand creams are my most repurchased hand cream. They leave your hands feeling moisturised but not greasy. They have quite a few scents to choose from as well. I really liked this vanilla scent but the cherry blossom scent has to be my favourite.
